Who is responsible

What I collect and why

• Your email address, when you ask to be notified of new research or write to me, so I can send what you asked for and reply.
• Your name, email and billing details, when you subscribe to the AI Alpha Briefing, so I can provide the subscription, send receipts and handle cancellations and refunds. Card details go directly to Stripe; I never see or store them.
• Questions you submit for a live briefing, so I can answer them. I remove names and identifying details before any question is discussed.
• Attendance at live briefings, so I can send the recording and the follow-up.
• Site statistics through Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, and Google Analytics, which uses cookies to count visits and pages viewed. I use them only to see how the site is used.

I do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it for me

Stripe (payments and receipts), Vercel (website hosting and statistics), Google (Analytics), Formspree and Substack (forms and newsletter), Google Workspace (email) and Zoom (live briefings). Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland, including in the United States, under their standard contractual safeguards.

How long I keep it

Subscription and billing records for as long as the law requires me to keep accounting records (ten years in Switzerland). Mailing-list addresses until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Submitted questions for up to twelve months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and the GDPR where it applies to you, you may also complain to the competent data protection authority.
